App Privacy Policy Statement

Last Updated: [2026/09/06]

This App (hereinafter referred to as “we” or “us”)  is developed and provided by  [joey] as an individual developer. It is a completely free application intended solely for technical testing and exchange among hobbyists. We take your privacy very seriously, and this policy clearly and transparently explains how we handle your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

To enable you to use the App normally, you need to register and log in to an account. Therefore, we collect the following necessary information:

- Email address – used to create your unique account, identify you during login, and send you important account‑related notices (e.g., password reset, security alerts).

- Password – used to verify your identity. Your password is always transmitted and stored using strong encryption (e.g., hashed and salted). **We cannot see your plain‑text password.**

Apart from the above login credentials, **we do not collect any other personal information**, including but not limited to:

- Your name, phone number, physical address, location data, or device identifiers;

- Any logs, usage statistics, crash reports, or behavioural tracking;

- Any information from third‑party platforms (such as social media accounts).

2. How We Use Your Information

- Your **email and password** are used only for:

- Registering, logging in, and managing your account;

- Ensuring account security and preventing unauthorised access;

- Sending you essential emails related to account security or service changes (never for marketing or promotional purposes).

- **We never** use your information for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose.

3. Data Storage and Third‑Party Service (AWS IoT)

The login verification and account data storage of this App rely on **Amazon Web Services (AWS) IoT**. Regarding the processing of your data on AWS, please note the following:

- **Shared Responsibility Model**: AWS is responsible for protecting the global infrastructure that runs its cloud services. Your account information (email and encrypted password) is **encrypted both in transit and at rest** within AWS IoT by default.

- **Our Responsibility**: As the developer, we are responsible for the secure configuration and management of your content hosted on AWS. We implement reasonable measures (e.g., access controls, encrypted storage) to protect your data.

- **Data Transmission**: All communication between your device and AWS IoT is secured via **TLS‑encrypted connections**.

- **Important Note**: We **do not** place sensitive information (such as your email address) into AWS service tags or free‑form text fields.

4. Permission Usage

This App may request the following permissions, all of which are solely for login and local functionality:

- **Internet Permission (INTERNET)** – used to communicate with the AWS IoT service for login, registration, password reset, and related operations. No other data is actively uploaded.

- **Storage Permission (READ/WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE)** – used only to store login tokens (e.g., session credentials) or cache necessary configuration files locally on your device. This data stays on your device and cannot be remotely accessed by us.

> If you deny storage permission, the App will still run, but you may need to log in again each time you start it.

5. Information Sharing and Disclosure

- **We do not sell, rent, exchange, or otherwise provide your personal information to any third party.**

- The AWS IoT service acts as our cloud infrastructure provider and processes data according to its privacy and security commitments. AWS does not use your data for its own purposes.

- We may disclose information only in the following exceptional legal circumstances:

- With your explicit consent;

- To comply with applicable laws or respond to lawful requests from public authorities (e.g., courts, regulators);

- To protect public safety, our legitimate rights, or the rights of others.

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your account information:

- **Access and Correction**: You can view or update your email and password through the App’s settings or by contacting us directly.

- **Deletion and Cancellation**: You may contact us at any time to request account cancellation. We will delete all your account data from AWS IoT. After cancellation, you will no longer be able to log in, but you may register again.

- **Withdraw Consent**: You have the right to withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal information at any time. However, withdrawal may prevent you from using the full functionality of the App.

7. Children’s Privacy

- This App is not directed at minors and does not actively collect age information. If you are a minor, please use the App under the guidance of a parent or guardian.

8. Disclaimer

- This App is a free test version provided for learning, exchange, and experimental purposes only. It comes with no warranty or service commitment of any kind. The developer assumes no legal liability for any direct or indirect losses arising from the use of this App.

9. Policy Updates

- If this policy changes (e.g., due to new features or permissions), we will publish the updated version on this page and revise the “Last Updated” date. Significant changes will be notified within the App or via email.
